Who builds it
Founder
Loamio is built by Sabin Larsen, based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Sabin has thirty years of database development and software architecture experience and works directly with ditchriders, district secretaries, and boards to keep the product grounded in how water actually gets ordered, delivered, and billed.

Why we built it
What we care about
Irrigation districts keep water moving on systems that are decades old and records that often live in one spreadsheet and one filing cabinet. We built Loamio because that work is too important to depend on a single person's memory or a run sheet that gets rained on.
We build for the people doing the work first — the ditchrider at the headgate, the secretary closing out assessment season, the board member who needs an answer in a meeting. The goal is software that survives a secretary retiring, holds up in a water dispute, and is honest about what it does and what it costs.

Technology
- Hosted on Amazon Web Services in US regions, with automated backups
- Payments processed by Stripe, including district subscriptions and patron billing
- Audited security architecture, with data encrypted in transit and isolated by district
