Loamio shows your district how much water is delivered per acre by irrigation method — a fair, season-long read on efficiency. Every number is a group average, and no method shows unless at least three patrons use it, so nobody gets singled out.
How it works
Acre-feet per water-righted acre, by method.
The benchmark tile groups this season's deliveries by irrigation method — flood, sprinkler, drip, and so on — and reports acre-feet per water-righted acre for each. Because it divides water by acreage, it compares a big operation and a small one on equal footing. A coverage line tells you how much of your delivery record is feeding the number, and a Refresh button recomputes it (up to three times per ten minutes).

Pooled vs. average
The tile shows a pooled figure — total water over total acres — and the average of each patron's own rate. Pooled weights by size; the average treats every patron equally.
Why parcels matter
Link an order to a parcel, and it counts.
A delivery inherits its parcel from the order it came from, and the benchmark needs that parcel to know the acreage behind the water. If an order has no parcel, its delivery can't be counted — it simply won't show up in the numbers. That is why picking a parcel when you create an order matters: it is what turns a delivery into a data point and raises your coverage line over the season.

What do the delivery benchmarks measure?
Water delivery efficiency as acre-feet per water-righted acre, grouped by irrigation method, for the current season. It lets a district compare use across flood, sprinkler, drip, and other methods on a fair, per-acre basis.
Why are some irrigation methods not shown?
A method only appears when at least three patrons use it — a privacy rule called k-anonymity. With fewer than three, a number could be traced back to one grower. Holding the line at three keeps every benchmark a group average.
What is the coverage line?
It reads something like "N of M deliveries linked to parcels." Benchmarks only count deliveries tied to a parcel, because the acreage comes from the parcel. The line tells you how much of your delivery record is feeding the benchmark.
Why should staff pick a parcel on an order?

Is a patron's individual water use ever exposed?
