What is the system schematic in Loamio?
The system schematic follows the water from the headgate to the people using it: the latest headgate reading, a card for each main ditch or lateral, and the deliveries running on each, with the patron, turnout and order rate. Lateral flows are order rates, not measured branch flow.
How is the schematic different from the map?
The map shows where headgates, turnouts and laterals are. The system schematic ignores geography: it groups the deliveries running now under the ditch or lateral that carries them, and links to the map and network inventory.
When does a delivery show on the schematic?
A delivery shows while it is running: the ditch rider has started it and not yet ended it. Each one is listed under its ditch or lateral with the patron, turnout and order rate. The schematic loads current data when you open it.
Who can see the schematic?
Office staff (admins and managers) can open the system schematic. It is read-only. Ditch riders and patrons do not see it; a ditch rider works from their route and the district map.
Do I have to draw the schematic myself?
No. Loamio builds the system schematic from the laterals in your network inventory. Add a lateral and it gets a card. There is no separate diagram to maintain.
