Loamio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026 · Draft pending legal review

This policy explains what information Loamio collects when you visit loamio.com or use the Loamio software, how we use it, and what choices you have. We try to keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@loamio.com.

Who we are

Loamio is a software product for irrigation districts and mutual ditch companies, operated from Fort Collins, Colorado. "We", "us", and "Loamio" refer to the same company throughout this policy.

What the contact form collects

When you fill out the demo-request form on our website, we collect the information you choose to submit, which may include:

We use this information for one purpose: to follow up about a Loamio demo. The contact form is processed by a third-party form-handling service (Formspree), which delivers the message to our internal email. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or rent this information to anyone.

What district data we hold (for customers)

If your district uses Loamio, we hold the records you put into the product — shareholders, share counts, water orders, gate readings, assessments, billing entries, and similar operational records. We will never sell, license, or share your district's records with another party. The only exceptions are: at your written request, to comply with a lawful court order, or to a successor company in the event of a sale of the business (in which case the same privacy commitments transfer to the successor).

Where data is hosted

Loamio runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States (currently the us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

Cookies and analytics

The marketing site uses no third-party analytics or advertising trackers at this time. The Loamio application itself uses a single first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we are required to retain for accounting, tax, or audit reasons). Email hello@loamio.com with the subject "data request" and we will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Contact-form submissions from people who never become customers are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless we have an ongoing conversation with you. Customer district records are kept for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days, then deleted on request or automatically purged. Backups are rotated on a 35-day cycle.

Children

Loamio is a tool for adults running irrigation districts. It is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for current customers, send an email notice. Continued use of the product after the change date means you accept the revised policy.
